HID Silverado Headlights in the 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500

Installing the Xenon HID conversion into our 2011 Chevy Silverado.

Installation time was about 20 minutes per set. Under the hood of the new Chevy trucks, everything is neet and tidy these days making installation quick and easy. We did have to remove the air filter element from the Airraid Cold Air Intake in order to access the passenger side headlight housings but that was about it. Reaching down, we unplugged the stock bulbs one at a time and replace them with the new HID bulbs.

Connecting the lights to the vehicle wiring was as simple as unplugging the stock bulbs and plugging in the pigtails going to the ballasts. You can see the two notches that lign up with the connector from the ballasts. Also note the use of Electrical Insulating Compound to keep out moisture and help eliminate corrosion.
