Buying a new Chevy Silverado 1500 from a local Chevrolet Dealer?

Always preferred but sometimes not possible, buying a new Chevy Silverado 1500 from one of our local dealers here in Alaska was just what we tried to do. Problem was, it seemed that everyone in Alaska got to the dealers before we did. There just wasn't an Imperial Blue Metallic Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab with the 5.3 flex fuel engine left unsold. Unfortunately, living in Kenai Alaska there are no Chevrolet dealers left in the area. This ended up being no problem as we fired up our laptops and it was off to the giant shopping mall called the Internet.

Once on the net, we Googled, New Chevy Silverado Crew Cab Dealers, and immediately there the search result was lists of truck dealers listed for us to choose from. But the one site that made it so easy was the one at the very top, Chevrolet.com linked every vehicle on every lot into one searchable database making shopping for a new Chevy fast and fun. Way To Go Chevy and our hats are off to Google too. Thanks to Chevrolet.com and the Internet we were able to locate the trucks of interest in the areas we would be visiting. Two were at one dealership and one was at another. With excitement and anticipation, we contacted the dealers about the Imperial Blue Metallic Silverado Crew Cab's with the 5.3L V-8 and Z71 Off Road and All Star packages as we wanted the bluetooth capability for our iPhones, satellite radio and the On-star package was a must too.

Alaska's Chevy and GMC Truck Dealers.

All the dealerships and their inventories are available from Chevrolet's web site; Chevrolet.com. After using their web site and locating the vehicles that came closest to our needs, we began calling the dealers directly. Walla, vehicle galore, lot's of choices all across the country.

Now the question that still remains, exactly which truck to choose, the Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab ½ ton or the new Chevy Silverado HD 2500 Crew Cab ¾ ton? That was a question we needed to answer before going into the locating phase. We chose the ½ ton over the ¾ ton just due to paint colors, the 2500 isn't offered in Imperial Blue Metallic and the Chevy over the GMC Sierra for strictly cosmetic reason. Besides, Chevy's have been taking our families over the roads for most of our lives and its something that we take a lot of pride in. Chevy's have been more than just the Heartbeats of America, they have also been reliable and dependable, I guess that's where the old cliches' came from, “Like a Rock”, and “The Heartbeat of America”. Yes it's been true, Baseball, Hotdog's, Apple Pie and Chevrolet; since their beginning, the trucks from Chevrolet have been American standard of dependability and longevity, Like a Rock best exemplifies the the materials and craftsmanship found in every Chevy truck we have owned.

After all the failed attempts to buy our new Chevrolet truck locally, we never gave up on the desire for that new Imperial Blue Chevy Silverado Crew Cab. Well, welcome to the digital age. Buying anything from cameras to cars is a snap from any business that understands both the value of digital traffic and personalized service. Both of these areas are being mastered by Dave Smith Motors in little ole Kellogg Idaho.

Wondering why the Imperial Blue Metallic was so important? Well, we wanted it to match the color of our car. Pretty vain but that was the actual reason behind this silly decision!
