Here is what we have noted so far from the installation of the Borla Exhaust and the Airaid Cold Air Intake System.

  1. From the initial moment of firing up the Chevy, there was a noticeable sound of rolling thunder emanating from the once docile Chevy Silverado. A new powerful bumping sound at idle mimics that from a mild race cam and the tone brings back memories from the big block idle sound of the 70's.
  2. In the cab there is a noticeable rumble from the combination of the Borla Exhaust and the Airaid Cold Air Intake.
  3. Drivability may be the most noticeable improvement from the Borla/Airaid combination. The change in throttle response is remarkable with a more linear feel to the throttle input response.
  4. Acceleration tests show a major gain in the 0 to 60 tests and a similar gain in the 40 to 70 acceleration common to passing or merging on a freeway.

Borla's stainless steel cat-back exhaust systems are backed by Borla's Million Mile warranty and are dyno-tuned for specific applications. Smog-legal in all 50 states, these systems include stainless steel pipes, clamps, Borla's Turbo mufflers, and inter-cooled exhaust tips.

Borla's stainless steel cat-back exhaust systems are built entirely from aerospace-grade T-304 stainless steel-inside and out. The computer controlled mandrel-bent tubing process eliminates excessive back-pressure and provides a very smooth exit for spent gasses. The free-flowing Borla exhaust systems boost and broaden both horsepower and torque curves and are reported to increase fuel economy on most vehicles as well.
